I've read a couple of things on the web (John Robb's blog / NME) which hint The Stone Roses might actually tour this time but Reni may not be involved. Could be wrong but I'm sure us mere mortals will find out for sure on Tuesday. That said, I would find it hard to believe they'd bother at all if they couldn't get all four of them on board so hopefully it is the "classic" Brown/Mani/Reni/Squire line-up.
Goes without saying that the Roses were a great band and the first album is obviously seminal. The b sides and non-album singles also they put out make up a fantastic album in their own right. The proper second album was a bit of a disappointment and having never seen them live I've heard when they were shit they were really shit so am a bit dubious about the whole thing.
Someone's obviously in dire need of the filthy lucre as Brown and Squire have been trading insults in the music press for literally decades now. Brown has always come across that he utterly hates Squire's guts so I would imagine one or both of them have been eating a lorryload of humble pie in the past few months in order to achieve this.
Gives us hope for the whole Barney/Hooky debacle which isn't too dissimilar I suppose.

Wouldnt surprise me if Primal Scream Screamadelica (which I presume is now the name of the band?) get on the bill, nice little payday for Mani then.
Best band of the late 80s/ early 90s was of course House Of Love, not Stone Roses as often mistakenly believed.
Im glad they've finally put their differences behind them and been able to build bridges, make amends and, obviously, agree a price.
