Wizard - WICBCED (went to see him sing it live last week, absolutely amazing) Have yourself a merry little Christmas (any version) The whole Phil Spectre Christmas album
I love Christmas songs, always getting moaned at for whistling them in July!
Tower, now you've finally posted a mature thread, here's some of my favourites, though choosing just three is tough:
Queen - Thank God It's Christmas Aled Jones - Walking In The Air Sal Solo - San Damiano
It's a shame Glitter censored the Rock 'n' Roll Christmas song, as it's an all-time classic.

In an ideal world this year's Christmas number one would be Jessica Brown-Findlay singing Irma Thomas' Anyone Who Knows What Love is (Will Understand) with the video of her singing it to the Hot Shot judges on Black Mirror: Fifteen Million Merits. That'd get the dull and dim millions of fans of X Factor scratching their empty brainwashed heads

heads or SHEDS?
St Etienne - I was born on Christmas day Waitresses - Christmas Wrapping Bing Crosby & David Bowie - Peace on Earth
But for a top quality Christmas-themed album, get hold of the Ghosts of Oxford Street soundtrack, featuring the Mondays' "Stayin' Alive", Rebel MC's "Rich is gettin richer" and Sinead O'Connor doing "Silent Night", among other classics.
Cocteau Twins -Frosty The Snowman ![]()
Worst Christmas song ever has to be Cliff Richard - The Lords Prayer, I heard it today and am not yet recovered.

Are you sure?
Obviosuly I didn't know that existed when I made that statement, but then I don't go looking up cold play on youtube, why would I!

If the gentleman keeps all the pop-idol/x-factor dollies off the telly, then he can only be a good thing for the rest of us.

All these vids are blocked at work, alas, so I can't see people's choices.
Jona Lewie's gotta be up there though, close 2nd to the Pogues.
Fack knows what I'd have third. Fine Time? ![]()

Overfamiliarity has actually made me despise a lot of these old Christmas pop hits that I used to actually like. And there are only very few exceptions.
To have to suffer the same old rigmarole year in year out of having these songs rammed down your throat until you choke is basically akin to Japanese water torture.
I really cannot say what my favourites are any more now, thanks to this blatant overexposure..... but suffice to say I feel kind of sick now whenever I hear that fucking Band Aid song for starters.
And the Slade one.
And the Wizzard one.
And Shakin' Fuckin' Stevens.
