Suede and Saville

Have you seen Suede's new album and single sleeves? Is it Saville's work? It must be, as it looks as shite as the Once-Genius latest "works"...

There are also some lyrics in their new single that even barney would cringe at!

"Your smile is your credit card and the currency is love" or something along those lines... eew.

By the way, I can't understand why people are slagging off Brett's lyrics...NOWADAYS! They were always shite!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just LOVE the tunes, though!

Speaking of Saville, was he in 24 Hour Party People? I didn't notice him if he was. I thought I caught everybody. I'm going to see it again today so I'll look harder.

My bird digs the Suede, but even she semi-admits the latest song is a lame duck. As for the covers, the earlier work was excellent. I haven't seen the new cover, is it poo?

As for the band - they were overrated when they first came out and now they're just overdone ... like a prize turkey.

I haven't seen it yet (it opened here last friday), but to my knowledge he has a very small role (Tony "H" Wilson said that's why Savvy doesn't like it...)

Not exactly poo, but it doesn't break new ground. I love the "Coming up" era sleeves, but the "Headmusic" ones were not much crop and the new ones are more of the same. Check Suede's site (you don't have to register!) and judge it yourself. Still, it's not as BAD as Pulp's last one!

He had a major role to play in the film but unfortunatly turned up 5 days late for filming :D

I thought I remembered hearing that he was going to play himself in the film. After seeing it again today I realized that it was only an actor who played him.
