Has anyone had a bad experience with a bouncer.

The basics of it is... I was paying entry fee to get into a club and I was struggling to find the correct change. Wasn't taking forever about it, but the guy on the desk told the bouncer "he hasn't got enough".

I was then told by the bouncer to leave but he was already grabbing me and threw me out of the club I said can you not push me please I am leaving then he shouted at the top of his voice "do not resist" and he pinned me on the floor and was on my back.

If this is within the law then surely there are cunts all over the country doing this (no pun intended) was wondering if anyone has bothered to do anything about it or just let it slide as I want to complain and get something done if I can.

Sorry for the serious post btw... I'll make up for it with some witty bollocks when I feel a bit better

[Yes I've heard the stores about the Hac bouncers but that was a good club this place was a dump anywaya]

Don't worry about it , all bouncers are power tripping twats.

I used to work (behind the bar) in a club in Blackpool, the bouncers were arseholes, if they didn't have a good fight during the night they'd have a fight amongst themselves after hours. One evening I walked in at 7:00 and one of the bouncers was unconious on the floor, I asked what had happened and he'd had a bet that another one of the lads couldn't knock him out with one punch!

Absolute bell ends!

in answer to your question though, just leave it, the police won't do anything, you'll just get yourself worked up about it, best thing is to screw his mrs.

I once got refused entry to the (now defunct) Tea Rooms in Shoreditch on a Friday night because I was still wearing my work suit. And to think that there was a time when wearing a smart suit would get you IN to a club… Other than that I have been pretty lucky.

Having said that, the closest I have recently come to a Bouncer dispute was at the NO Troxy gig in December. My mate (who doesn’t post on here) had a backpack with some shopping in it, including one “food” item – a supermarket brand of multipack crisps(!)

When told he couldn’t bring “food” into the venue (presumably because they were selling overpriced pizza slices in the foyer – only official food allowed!), he offered to check his bag in, once inside. No, can’t be done as the cloakroom isn’t open tonight, he was told. My mate, considering himself a former punk refused to relinquish, and the bouncers refused to budge on the issue. Really.

I went inside to get out of the cold and catch Jake Evans. My mate stayed arguing at the entrance for the next fifteen minutes. Personally I would have just handed over the crisps and not risked wasting my £38 ticket, but apparently if you’re old enough to be a former punk it’s all about the principle. Having said that, the bouncers were being dicks and should have acknowledged that the lack of cloakroom facilities was hardly the customer's fault.

The worst bit was that when my mate finally relinquished his “food”, I had to listen to him moaning about it right up until Barney walked out on stage. Does this win stupidest dispute at an NO gig ever?

No, Barney and Hooky still hold the record for that!

In retrospect you are of course, right.

The lesson is simples don't go to shit clubs. Or anywhere in Chester at all. Ever. :nono:

No offence but who goes to a ruddy gig with their shopping in tow? Let alone a former punk? "Just let me pop into Sainsbury's for the weekly shop before a bit of moshing?" Although I agree it was ridiculous they wouldn't simply let your mate check his stuff into the cloakroom for a couple of quid.

Mind you they probably weren't going to risk being sued in case a packet of Smokey Bacon went missing :uhoh: they're normally big fuckers bouncers and need their food.

After the pre: order shenanigans that night I remember being pretty half-cut but I do remember the bouncers seeming a little on edge. Properly stopping people and staring them in the eyes before they were allowed over the threshold.

Mike...you will not get anywhere with the old bill.

If it really annoys you, i have heard stories about peoples doing some reconnaissance. Finding out over the course of the next few weeks what time the meathead gets to work & how. Most probs by car. Find out where he parks it... Paintstripper. Thoroughly enjoyable. good karma. Well...thats what i heard.:read:

I'm pretty much over it now but things have become pretty strained with the family we've not been the same since it happened I saw my arse big time when no one seemed to give a toss, and said some pretty bad things all this because of some cunt on the doors at a nightclub I'm sure it will be ok soon...

So anyway I decided to at least give it a little shot down the legal route.

The police, having threatening to arrest me over this incident (yes I did nothing just get attacked by a bouncer - did not threaten, intimidate or harm anybody) - advised me to contact the SIA if I had a complaint.

The SIA got back to me today to say no can do, please complain to the police.

Unbelievable.
