stoopid record companies screwing north americans over...

i checked a primal scream site recently and it seems that evil heat will not be released on this side of the ocean. and i thought it was just NO that was getting screwed...

reason? lack of sales. that's right. and i'm thinking, screw the sales, some american primal fans actually want to pay a fair price for our cd. creation would never do this to the primals...and factory would never do this to new order...but fooking sony and london will!

i'm sorry, i just had to vent. this sucks ass. i was actually looking forward to buying evil heat. but now, i think i'll take bobby gillepsie's advice and just download the whole thing.

in these cases, which seem to happen all too frequently, i just use amazon.co.uk. it ends up being no more expensive than import prices and you get the CDs delivered straight to your front door. but you're right. these record companies are doing a real disservice to north american listeners! god forbid some of us might actually listen to some decent music over here.

Don't know what happened with Primal Scream's relationship to Astralwerks, who put out XTRMNTR in the states, but it seems the label imported extra UK copies of the CD single of Swatstika Eyes and slapped a sticker with the US product bar code number over the UK part (the disc inside mine reads CRESCD326)
