best bit--guitar segue worst bit--nothin' LOVE IT! big chem bros. fan. rating: 95% best trick: putting port in someone's coffee who was trying to sober up, waiting until he passed out in bed, writing 'knob' on his forehead in permanent marker and drawing all over his face and then photographing it for posterity. he had to teach the next day with the faded word and art still on his face, poor soul. actually, we were going to tie him to the outside well, but we didn't want him to die of exposure, so we did the marker bit instead.

Best bit: Barney's singing.

Worst bit: The video

Rating: 80% Cracking song. Actually I thought at the time this was going to be the way New Order were going to follow for their comeback.

Best prank: We had once a little party before going on a trip very early next day. Before going to our own homes a friend and I carefully set all the alarm clocks and watches in the house a three hours earlier. The owners of the house awoke very tired one hour after going to sleep, took their showers, had breakfast and only realised what had happened after a long telephone conversation with the cab company which "had failed to send them the taxi they had ordered the day before".

well, as to my post above: yes, he was a friend of mine. he was an awfully good sport about it. i have a swedish friend who left his friend passed out in a field in the middle-of-nowhere sweden with a lump of poo on his chest. he had to hitch-hike home. now that's bad.

here's a barney story i heard: he and vic reeves were on the piss in manchester and barney drove the catatonic vic to mossside, stole his shoes and aided him out of the car, only to have the poor mr. reeves wander the streets of this not-so-posh neighbourhood in his socks. fortunately some kind passers-by recognized him and helped him get home safely. :D :D :D

1 The up tempo start is superb, sets the scene fer the rest of the song, great lyrics on this as well, sometimes I'm understood you know;)

2 Worst bit? I cannae find my CD of this anywhere - one of my pals probably lent it and conveniently forgot all about it:nonono:

3 Just a great track, I have it on a tape next to Here To Stay and they compliment each other very nicely:nod:

5 I have fookin millions of mental stories from my younger days:lol: Mostly drink and drug fuelled:evil4: Baldrick has been on the receiving end a few times, for his 21st we got him minced on Vodka and Cider chasers in the pub....then back fer a party where he puked his ringer and fell asleep, not only did we give him a haircut, we also painted on Dreadlocks and gave him a Noel Edmonds beard using a permanent marker pen, was that enough fer us? course not....we also used his forehead to play naughts and crosses (or as they say in America Tic-Tac-Toe)

Then there was a party a few years ago after the nightclub, a good friend of mine "Deaf Kev" was back at a particularly boystrous party (with a lot of the local hardmen) drugs of the yuppie generation everywhere! and everyone decided it would be funny to turn the music off! Kev, obviously in a bit of a state from the gear continued dancing on his own, someone suggested we should also pretend that we were cold in the house, so everyone started rubbing their hands and putting on their coats....Kev joins in, dancing in the middle of the floor with a big duffle coat on:lol: after another 3 or 4 hours on the piss, Kev fell asleep on the couch:nonono: Bad fuckin idea at this type of party:evil4: We got one of the birds lipstick and coloured in his face....Tango Man:lol: He woke up about 6, so to keep him away from the mirror, we decided to go to the shops for a carry-out (remember Kev still has his face painted) One of the nutters from the party tells Kev he's gotta go and steal a porno mag from the newsagents:nod: So I walk in and get a 24 cans and a bottle of Vodka, just as I turn round, in walks Kev....how the fuck I stopped mesel from laughing I'll never know, so I walk out of the shop nearly crying! Kev comes running out a minute later...."Did you get the mag?" said Fitzy "Aye" says Deaf Kev, and proceeds to pull out The Radio Fookin Times:nonono:  He was that worried about being noticed he just grabbed the first mag he seen, fuck knows what the newsagent must've thought when he saw this guy with a red face coming into his shop....then stealing The Radio Times:lol:

100% True....I have loadsa mad stories like that:D

They were the days:spit:

this Kev guy reminds me of that speed-freak friend of theirs from 'spaced' who comes to the house after a rave and starts dancing when the phone starts ringing. classic TV moment! (been there myself once or twice...)

Aye, he's as mad as a brush - great craic whenever he's out and about:nod:

had a friend like that myself when i lived up in st. andrews. he was known about town as 'techno tim' for his penchant for non-stop dancing (although he did DJ, as well, so the name fit both ways). :jump2:

i don't think he was ever sober, that lad. he just sort of disappeared down south one day....

down south? are you talking about the shitehole also known as England:evil4:

Between the ages of 18 and 25, I was almost always on the piss (Thurs,Fri,Sat&Sunday) when I nearly settled down I changed quite a lot, don't go out half as much these days.....but it's all gonna change very soon, I get the keys to my new flat on Tuesday....party times ahead:lol: Also saving up fer the piss up in Manchester in 3 weeks time.....it's gonna be good:D

london, i think. and i love england and scotland equally, although i support english football. (don't be mad, shugsy-poo!) and, wait. isn't corby in england? i don't think it's in greenland, that's for sure.

Corby is indeed in England....it's a long story:lol: Most of the people in this town are celts, mainly Scottish though;) Greenland is a reference to my beloved Glasgow Celtic, I'd say there were slightly more Celtic supporters in Corby than Rangers:nod:

I like living here (obviously, or I woulda moved up the road to be with my family up there!) but let's just say I do not support England at anything, and have often wore Brazil, Argentina and Germany football tops just to wind up the locals:lol:

It's all in the best possible taste:D

As fer Arsenal, I've been to Highbury twice (both for testimonial games involving Celtic) I prefer the Mancy lads, but I don't support anyone down here. When ye've got Celtic, there's no need fer anyone else....a bit like New Order;)

Best bit of OOC for me is the rhythm track and Barney's lyrics and vocals.

Worst bit: none on this track

Why I love it: sounded great live, though they didn't emphasize Barney's vocals much on the version I heard. Love Sasha's remix as well on the CD single.

Rating: 95%

As for the last bit, I don't really remember; I'm just waiting for people to come round and blackmail me with threats of videos, photos, etc.

aah, shugsy, celtic...greenland. i get it! i must say that i lived in scotland for 4 years and survived one world cup and one european cup as an england supporter without being beaten up once! the scotland supporters were very gracious. although how a scot can support germany over england is beyond me. some say, 'we were invaded by the english and therefore we hate them' (not really, but you know what i mean). but, erm, didn't germany bomb the crap out of scotland not 60 years ago? bannockburn was 700 years ago, man! bring together the scots and the english and let's all live together in peace and love on the tiny island!

live in peace with the Engerlish? nae chanceroonies, I know I may sound biggoted when I slag em and wear foreign tops....but to me it's just a craic, I don't set out to upset, just to wind up;)

If you lived in Scotland, then surely you'd understand why we choose to slag the English:nod:

It's a conversation that's been talked about several times before, and I cannae be arsed to drag it all up again......let's just say all the people I have met up with from this site, understand it's just me trying to wind them up.....but it works both ways....I often get stick for having the pleasure of being born down here.....which makes me a Plastic Jock:nonono:

yeah, i know it's all in good fun. (except for the celtic/rangers thing, which often isn't, unfortunately) but you were born in england? why, you little traitor you!:p:
