All you need is RealAudio. You should! I mean, I'm for real!
unfortunately you have to pay for realaudio if it's not installed (hence i cannot get anything off this site) and i can't afford it at the moment (been taking too much post-studies time off). i'm planning on getting it when i'm more solvent, but for now...![]()

Really? I live in the U.S. and my Real Audio is free. I think you should search about and find the Real Audio for free link and download it. If not, you can e-mail me personally and I'll send it!
i went to the website and it says that i need to pay $30 for it! (it's the whole realplayer thing, couldn't find realaudio alone). how did you get it for free?
Originally posted by Agentwood hey, i think i found it!
You just have to poke for a wee bit! Good luck!
all the URLs for the free Real Audio have expired, since Real.com have a new website and have consolidated everything into a package (and not free) deal now. pooh!

It's really pretty simple.
- Go to real.com
- Choose "Free RealOne Player" in the upper right hand corner and double click.
- Choose "Download the Free RealOne Player Only" in the lower right hand corner.
- A box will pop up in the center of your screen. Select yes and begin downloading.

forgiven. i guess i was quick to jump to conclusions...i've been spending too much time on ezboards where people pull that shite a lot.![]()
Swayzak are well worth checking out....i hope you're not just now getting into them since they are cashing in on the Electro-clash FAD! Their first two albums "Snowboarding in Argentina" and "Himawari" are killer, minimal dubby tech-house....and the label compilation 240 Voltz is superior quality techno/electro.
don't jump bandwagons....find out for yourself!
if you can find their collaborations with Stewart Walker and Theroem on Richie Hawtin's deep as fuck M_nus Recordings....recently compiled on the Theroem release titled "Experiments in Synchronicity"
warning...these releases do not contain any resemblance of what is now referred to as Electro-Clash just quality, deep techno.

Check my profile. I'm really unfamiliar with that "deep techno" you're referring to. I only jump bandwagons, so tell me when the next great musical shift occurs. Thanks!
some choice selections there David....i can be a great big asshole when little kids start talking about how good this "new" band are when they've already received tons of critical praise in the "underground" circles. the video clip for I Dance Alone is very different to the music Swayzak are known for and a little to trendy for me to be excited about. The Adult album came out more than a year ago and Carl Finlow (Silicone Scally) turned the excellent single with Kirsty Hawkshaw from Himawari (State of Grace) into an awe inspiring, gorgeous electro ballad in 2001. I have been lucky enough to see Swayzak several times live and their sound has been quality every time.
nice to know there are others on these forums who appreciate good electronic music. most of these folks would rather talk about second rate Rawk like Doves (jarvis is right, they were much better as Sub Sub) and Oasis and bandwagon jumpers talking up The Hives, the Strokes and whoever is on the charts at NME.
it's the electronic elements of NewOrder that keep me interested (Vicious Steak)......
sorry for putting you on the defensive but your use of sarcasm should serve you quite well on these forums.....do you listen to any releases on Konvex/Konkav? Raum? Klang?

Vicious Steak! That would be an awesome song!
You've got a vicious steak It's somewhat well done So go ahead and make Another one
Yeah, I know what you mean with the posts. I get all that M_nus stuff sent to me as white labels, so I'm pretty aware of it. The thing about the whole "electroclash" movement is that there is some excellent music coming out and not so excellent. Just like every genre. The Cuts & Clicks stuff could also be seen as a fad, and it's the same way. I mean, how long has Gigolo been putting out those types of records? And Adult pretty much kickstarted the whole electroclash movement.
I like the Raum and Klang labels very much. Have not heard anything on the Konvex/Konkav label. As far as that stuff goes there's a whole slew of stuff I like a lot: Perlon, Force Tracks, Trelik, Kompakt, to name a few...
you know, i actually checked this group out. i volunteer at a campus radio station and i saw a promo of theirs lying around. i played it and it sounded pretty good.![]()
