my choices for most annoying bands/singers out there at the moment:
limp bizkit (especially fred durst) sum 41 shaggy linkin park dave matthews band alanis morrissette westlife
and my perennial favourites: the vengaboys!
p.s. whoa, sonic youth are on 'last call with carson daly' at the moment. great band...crap mtv dj. great band...crap mtv dj. good to see them on tv, though!
I saw that too. I think Carson's former job title was VJ. I saw Bowie on there the other night and Carson was oogling about Bowie's longevity; comparing him with Springsteen.
But, Agentwood:
All of those bands I like to label "pubic rock" Dave Matthews Band Coldplay Dirty Vegas Any "breakbeat" version of a "classic" that gets redone and people ask me for at my store (example: Bruce Hornsby's "The Way It Is" breakbeat bootleg cover)
I ignore the radio entirely, except for talk radio, so that's it for now.

It's perfectly fine to admire the Supremes' history of great music (even if you can't quite match up to Miss Ross and the revolving-door of backup singers), but to imitate them in said revolving-door policy (with your daddy managing, nonetheless) is just plain dumb. And did I mention the music sucks, too!
