i will be playing 80s girl group pop classics with my friend laura. we are very excited. also, "songs from the muppet movies" with my brothers.

not a bit of it. it has made me KEENER. it was seeing this a couple of years ago that first made me want one...

(plus, those cork girls have some really good cardigans.)

There is a good selection on Amazon and lots of books such as this one which looks promising..

previously i tried to learn the guitar but my hands are tiny and those strings HURT.

i've narrowed it down to a kala ka-s or a lanikai lu-21, and i think the lanikai might just pip it.

i shall keep you updated on the fruits of my labours...

UPDATE

i can now (very rubbishly) play:

'cupid' by sam cooke leaving on a jet plane the tide is high i have a dream more than this and in between days, which i dedicate to digi mike.

no, he's not from round these parts. but he's managed to find me in corners of the internet where even i forgot i existed. he's quite a competent stalker. i give him 8/10.

today i will be doing lots of ukulele rehearsing, as there is nothing good on the telly.

That reminds me, have a look at this... Transcribe It's software that allows you to play back songs at a slower speed to help figure out how to play along etc.. I came across it last week and downloaded the trial version as part of my own on-off attempts to play the guitar..
