Ok, so it looks like Brent is getting his marching orders for the last episode of this series,
would you like to see it return or should classic comedy like this be laid to rest before it gets overdone so to speak?
Personally i'd like to see David Brent cast in another role similar to that of Alan Partridge!

I've cringed at this series faaaar more than the last, though still find it immensely watchable, and totally unmissable.
The Flashdance (was it?) meets MC Hammer dance on Monday was worth the licence fee alone.
However, best to kill it off now, and keep it fresh in our memories.
You not seen Meet Ricky Gervais then? The chatshow he did on Channel 4.
Oh, and Alan Partridge is back for a 3rd series next month (presumably in the Office's slot?).
The first series was superb, but I think Gervais has took it to it's peak with the second series.

Yep that dance was indeed pure comedy genius moment!
Ricky Gervais is indeed one hell of a funny guy, i have only seen one of his chat shows on C4 (for which i remember little being somewhat inebriated!), sounds like i've missed out bigtime though..
I somehow doubt it will be the last we see of the office seeing as the press have jumped on the bandwagon after being too slow to catch on i the first series, the Daily Mirror even gave away a bloody DVD of the first episode free with one of their dailys for god sake! and the Standard did a full feature on it recently, all obviously keen to be visible in the limelight of its undoubted viewer popularity.
Still good to see a return on bbc2 for Alan as Coogan rarely disappoints as Partridge :)
I discovered The Office only 3 weeks ago unfortunately and am now totally addicted to it. Brilliant stuff. If they stop it now (and I agree that it's sometimes better to stop these kind of shows before they loose their edge) they should have reruns of it regularly, so I can see the first series as well...
Don't kill it off! This series has been so much better. The last two episodes the best yet. Phoenix Nights on the other hand.....
whenever ricky turns away frm his staff, i'm always waiting for one ofthem to mutter "wanker' love it his slot on xfm is total crap though :sleep2:
Had to resurrect this thread, cause the first series came out here on DVD awhile back, and even though I don't move paper, or work in the UK, it still makes me both laugh and cringe at the same time. (God help me if I ever end up like Gareth); hope the second series will come out soon as well.
Best to kill it off and keep it as a classic, instead of it becoming tired.
Has anyone seen ANIMALS, his great stand up show.
