Who knows Liverpool?

Maybe OnlyOneKenobe can answer this question. When I was in middle school (about 18 years ago)one of my closest childhood friends was named Jamie Heighway. I always heard from other friends that his dad had played for Liverpool. At that time, all I knew was that Liverpool were considered to be one of the world's best football teams. After doing some research I realized how popular of a player he was and am wondering if anybody knows if he might have moved to the U.S.A. for a short period of time?

Steve Heighway profile From the official site. A bit of stretch for me to to remember him from his playing days. Though he's remains well known from clips. Undoubtedly one of our all-time greats. As Rocket mentioned he's noted for his intelligence, he actually went to university which for a footballer is almost unique. Funny what people pick up on. Despite owning a quite remarkable Unlimited denim jacket featuring elaborate embroidary which I wore for about 4 years and was the envy of many of my friends One of whom offered to by it off me on many occasions, no strangers in the street ever did. None have ever offered to fight me for money either. Though it may come as shock to some people to discover that the North of England has an 'underclass'. people living in the real world may have already woken up to this fact and recognised it closer to their own doorsteps. Not sure where he gets the idea Merseyside derbies are friendly affairs either. 90% of Everton fans are more passionate about hating us than almost anything else in their lives. He may also like to note Everton have just announced an operating profit.

I also thought Devon had the largest percentage of Liverpool supproters per capita outside of Norway. I'm always being accused of coming from there. Surprised we're not more popular in that town. Perhaps the 'fact' that all scousers support Everton could explain this.
