It's just a new toy that we will "ooh" and "ah" over for a few weeks, abuse for many more, and by Christmas time will be forgotten, so I'm just taking advantage of it while it's still here. Besides, it's tailor-made for a wise-ass like myself...

my fourth grade teacher had a life-sized poster of mr. selleck in her private closet in our classroom (this was 1983-84, mind you). every time she opened the door she would kiss the picture and scream, 'oh, tom. i love you!' come to think of it, my sixth grade teacher had a major thing for him as well. she even signed my class yearbook: 'i *heart* tom selleck'. middle age women really gravitated to him back then, i guess.
