Eh Eh soft lad, remember the greats, I don`t. I remember when they got pipped for Div 1, by that Michael Thomas goal, I remember when Wimbledon beat them in the FA cup. Can you remember their not finest moments? :evil3:

I can remember having a stand-up row with my father during the 1977 European cup final because I wanted Borussia Mönchengladbach to win. He claimed I was 'unpatriotic' but I knew I'd have to put up with every other glory-hunting Liverpool-[ahem]-'supporting' prat in junior school giving it the big 'un the next day. I'm sure Borussia had a keeper in that night who was called 'Wolf' and was eighteen feet tall. Fat lot of use he did, mind.

How do you catch up to something that is behind you without running in a circle?

Do you know what transfer targets are lined up Rocket? Are you expecting a few signings in January?

Yes but the trouble is ALEX has lost his nerve and i fear a panic buying spree.Realisticly need to replace the two NEVS,get at least two new full backs and at least one quality striker (and i hope it ain't DE CANIO).Still the squad has been shown up to be very limited this season and with several of the BIG teams getting sronger and stronger UNITED have been shown wanting.Although there has been suspensions and injuries it is NO more than ARSENAL have had.Liverpool have bought some great backup players and UNITED have been found out.The confidence level has sunk and with VAN THE MAN not firing on all cylinders it has become obvious that FORLAN ain't good enough!Strange but great to see EVERTON having a go and with CHELSEA and BORO doing well there is still a long way to go.My big fear is UNITED are not good enough at the moment to finish in the top four. What a laugh.....and with LEEDS struggling there could be a new team finishing in the top four.It is a enjoyable time for most teams but hard being a UTD fan at the moment.Still that is what i like about the PREMIERSHIP.You just never know....i had gone 14/1 on a two two draw yesterday. So i know nothing.Enjoy it at the top HANK:p

It's only worth celebrating when the maths say no-one else has a chance at top spot. In answer to the original question I can remember it. Chelsea '86 remains one of my favourite memories. I'm not quite that good at remebering the 70's I remmeber my mum ironing in 1977 but not much of the game. I don't blame Al for supporting the Germans under the circumstances. I normally support the British teams except if they are a threat to our 18+4

Indeed ARSENAL have steadied a somewhat rocky period and it should be interesting to see who next screws up.Apart from me that is!Well done also to EVERTON who must have surprised most footie fans this season.

Well, dunno about you but I'm pretty ecstatic about the events at the Riverside the other day!

Sorry - but I can't help gloating.

Allow us less salubrious sorts this brief moment of glory at least! Perhaps that explains why my earlier post about it went unnoticed, heh heh....
