Here's my list

Yeah, that one too. Jeez, I am a bad fan-boy! (FYI: Fan-boy denotes someone totally obsessed by a particular type of entertainment {i.e. Comic books, Star Trek} to the exception of anything else, even friends and family)

ok, to start my collection:

--boogie nights (my favourite movie) --24 hour party people --breaking the waves --the breakfast club --star wars (the first three) --the godfather trilogy --annie hall --the terminator 1 & 2

have on video but cannot live without, so seeing that videos will soon be obsolete, i guess i should replace them:

As fas as music DVDs go, The Clash DVD Westway To The World ain't bad, though I watch The Filth And The Fury more often. LOVE the Pavement double disc Slow Century, with lots of videos, a great documentary, plus two live shows! Major props to Matador for doing a compilation the way it should be done, and for its deluxe reissue of Slanted And Enchanted in tandem. Other record companies, please take note!!! (yeah, right :nonono: ) The Residents ICKY FLIX is great stuff for those with a taste for the eclectic.

I also have Altman's The Player and Gosford Park, both have lots of extras, which I like to watch when the weather's nasty outside.

I love the Filth and the Fury DVD, John Lydon is just so brutally honest throughout. I've thought about picking up the Clash DVD, but my budget's been a bit tight.

As for Altman flicks, you need to pick up the MASH set. He really tears into the TV show on the commentary. Plus, the extra features are pretty great (too bad they couldn't get Donald Sutherland to appear at the "30th Anniversary Cast Reunion", it just seems lousy without Hawkeye).

"I'm really proud of this scene, you get to see the actress's real ability." (scene of oral sex)

"And now the obligatory lesbian scene...oh, that's gotta hurt!"

Well, I see Breaking the Waves on that list. I'll be attaining that in a few days. Especially after watching "The Kingdom" for the first time and Stig Bjorkman's documentary on Lars Von Trier. I just purchased Solaris tonight, the Criterion collection version, and can't wait to bust that out. A new transfer, and to see it for the first time the way it was intended...well,...
