I sampled one of their albums awhile back, and they are pretty good. It's a synthpop group with a female singer. It kind of reminded me of Kraftwerk, but really girly sounding.

It's like being back to the 80's.

Although I have their first album in mp3, never actually managed (I think) to listen to it.. I only know Play Girl which is worth listening...

If you think that Ladytron is too much 80s, you should listen to Miss Kittin & The Hacker. They sound "as we were in '82". ;)

The first time I heard this song, I actually thought it was something from the 80's. Until i understood the lyrics, i realized it was a newer song.\

great band :thumb: i don't own anything by them but i've heard quite a few songs of theirs....seventeen, packo, play girl and blue jeans. all great songs.

they are kinda 80-ish cuz of the old electronic equipment they use, but they got that DIY attitude and the playfulness that makes them more than a bunch of brits (plus one japanese guy) ripping off the 80s.

i only know 'Took her to the movies' which I think is excellent. 80s influenced, but you can hardly say their ripping off the 80s. Quite unique sounding song me thinks. I like the DIY attitude with electronics, we need more of it.

Ladytron is a great band, I just got turned on to them a few months ago. I picked up their new album, light & magic, and it is great.

Some other bands: Broadcast, Fisherspooner, Clinic, and The Faint are pretty good.

Does remind me of the 80s though....

I like! :)

I love them. Ladytron is considered genius, if they would keep doing this great work. Though it's just a perfect and fantastic stylisation.

I'm a bit tired of them. Except "The way that i found you", great song.

There was a bit of New Order outing to catch them in Camden last night, spear-headed by Johnny G and Mickey Way, amongst others.

But I went out to watch the footie instead! :thumb:

Light and Magic sucks, but thier first effort before the ElectroKlash movement, 604, is fantastic.

By the way, is it just me, or does Turn It On sound like a New Order B-Side?
