13th floor elevators

Any fans in here? Just been checking out a few tracks by them. Quite impressed so far. They're perhaps best known for writing 'Slip Inside This house' which was covered by Primal Scream.

That, along with their song You're Gonna Miss Me being covered by tons of American garage bands like DMZ, The Mono Men, and Monkeywrench (some of the Mudhoney guys). I seem to remember that Julian Cope did a version of I've Got Levitation during his World Shut Your Mouth comeback period.

Sorry though, don't have any of their records, just the Nuggets compilation of 60's garage punk that features the Elevators; another band that's slipped through the cracks unfortunately.

I've heard "You're Gonna Miss Me" in the movie High Fidelity and a compilation I have has "Step Inside This House". Based on those two tracks, I'd definitely want to check them out if I ever remember to look for their records next time I'm browsing...
