I don't regret buying the Rushmore DVD, but I wonder why I had to pay $35 for it! It's one disc, with a few special features thrown in. Most DVDs run around $20-25 at the most....oh well, I suppose the "Criterion" people need the money, but it's a bit steep. Oh well, just a mild rant on my part.

well, you bought it didnt you? maybe thats why.. =)
i dont think theres a shortage of rabid wes anderson fans out there who wouldnt pay for the criterion version. even tho theres not awhole lot to write home about in the special features, there's just something about buying a dvd with extra stuff compared to buying the flat out regular version.
on an unrelated note, my persistance has paid off. after waiting two years i finally bought donnie darko on dvd on amazon for 14 bucks including shipping, which is down from the 25-30 bucks they wanted for it when it first came out. yeehaw.
Yeah, the "Royal Tennebaums" DVD I've rented about twenty times, and the special features on that are okay. I just wanted an update from the video I've got, it's messing up now and I figured I'd go for the DVD. I'm just a dumbass when it comes to this stuff, really.

I looked for Donnie Darko this yr for X-mas on DVD but could not find it anywhere. Most stores around here only carried maybe two copies. May have to give Amazon a shot... ![]()

I've seen it at Circuit City forever! I swear, ever since I became aware of the movie, there's been at least two or three copies at CC! Having not seen it yet, I'd rather rent it first.
Rushmore is a great movie - get Momento special addition - you can actually watch the movie forwards instead of backwords - worth the extra cash
