We've all had experiances where we've had to share room with someone who quite possibly annoyed us or could have killed us in our sleep with no problem. Who, then was your "nightmare roomate"?

Mine was a nouveau-hippie (the kind that listens to Phish instead of the Dead). he was my first semester college roomie and he had late classes. so while I'd be getting up at 6:45 in the morning, he'd sleep til noon, suddenly remember he had to go to class, and stay up late watching TV. I haven't been able to go to sleep with the TV on since.

My worst co-tennant in a uni house share was many of the above and more. I shan't bore you all by venting my spleen over what an absolute pillock this bloke was. Myself and the other 2 girls who lived there bullied him out after a term (that's 2/3 of a semester). What bitches.

Somebody who steals from you.........freakin' bastard, I can still recall the time that I found out that he'd stolen a live Clash bootleg and some money that I had, for reasons I've never figured out. I think I did the right thing by not immediately confronting him with this information right away though; a few years later, before he got married, we found that we were neighbors again, and he came over with a box of 45s that he no longer needed, including the Joy Division flexi and several New Order singles. :)

Hum.. let's see.. in 1995-96, I was in the residence in a room so small I wonder how I survived.. I was alone.

In 1996-97, I had my own 3 1/2 rooms appartment, basement, by myself..

In 1997-98 I moved to a place closer to the university, in a 4 1/2 rooms with a roomate (though we didn't have the same room), it went well until we decided to stay there in the summer and we worked at the same place, 24/24 7/7 was too much for us, we splitted 2 months later and I don't want to talk to this freak anymore...

1998-99 I had my own 3 1/2 on the same street, away from that freak.. Never again I will have someone I don't really know as a roomate (or is it coed the right term?)..

Moved back to my home town in 1999, took an apartment in 2000, met my fiance in 2001 and she moved with me in less than 6 weeks together, and well, it's going quite well since then, we're heading for the 2 years together soon! Best roomie I had ;) and yes, we share the same room
