Can't remember exactly what team, but Liverpool absolutely tonked someone about 11-0. Afterwards, Bill Shankly was asked about the opposition, to which he replied "They were lucky to get nil".

Some classics there. My own fave....

In the mid 80s, Leeds lost 2-6 away at Stoke around xmas time. The following season, the week before the corresponding fixture, in his Managers programme notes Billy Bremner, lamenting the terrible defeat & looking forward to a revenge mission wrote 'now I've never been one for making predictions but one thing I will say is that they won't do that to us again'.

True enough. 2-7.
