Well, for the hockey followers, another coach lost his job today (6th in the league so far), as today Miche Therrien was fired.

He will replaced by Claude Julien, who was headcoach for the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL), who was a member of the Edmonton Oilers team.

Let's hope this will kick the team in the rear end to stop losing.

really? i hadn't heard, they have struggled at times this season, but jose isnt playing like he did last year. and my all time fav Dougie Gilmour has to have another hot streak like he had last month

i am an islanders fan first but i love les canadiens as well

It's not going to make much of a difference, sorry to say. Theodore isn't exactly having the greatest year. Unless he picks it up, Habs are going nowhere. On a side note why aren't they trying to trade Hackett for some much needed help. There is no point in keeping him.

Actually.. Theodore is having a great year.. he had a very slow start, but he's now exactly where he was last year.

The difference was the other players.. they are giving up all the time...

Let's hope this will be the boost they needed.

i'm kinda of surprised actually, but it is a very open playoff race and considering that atlanta picked up coach hartley ex-of colorado and they have won 2 games, maybe they got a little nervous...as an islander fan, it is good to see montreal struggling a bit

Thoedore has pick it up. I was under the immpression that his was having a good year but not like last year. I really should stop reading Toronto papers sports sections. Alot of Leafs, less everyone else.

The Habs really should trade Hackett. They really don't need him. Theodore will be their number 1 goalie for many years and they can get (kid in minors - name escapes me at the moment) to be the back up. I'm sure there are a couple of teams looking for a quality goalie like Hackett.

No, nobody wants Hackett... not as his salary.

Only the people in Montreal know how good he his.. and he'll be a free agent at the end of the year.

Problem is, the Habs don't want to give him for nothing, and not to a team in the race of course... there were rumours at the beginning of the season for a Hackett->MacLaren trade with Boston.. obviously, this didn't happen because of the Zednick/MacLaren incident ;)
