Probably East17, never heard them, but if they were really good, I figure that I would've by now.

I like a couple of the above items, like Book Of Love and Sarah, mostly because females that I know have liked them, and they're still better than Bon Jovi.

I would assume that would be Hank Sr. then Jeff, not sure that his son had that many hits. Gotta give a special nod to Hank the third though; nice to see him giving props to bands like the Misfits and Samhain.

thank fuck I've got everybody into buying gift certificates now...

and I'm not ashamed of everything on the list...just wondering what you lot think the least of!!!!

The Sarah McLachlan disc.....sensitive singer-songwriters have no business in ANYONE's record collection. :nono:

Now excuse me while I go listen to my James Taylor greatest hits disc :p

i have sarah's fumbling towards estacy and veruca salt's american thighs.

no shame there. both good records in their own respect and sarah was way cooler when she didn't get all positive and lilith fair on me. fumbling towards estacy is dark stuff and it was one of the first records i owned when i was 11. and american thighs still rocks! seether and all hail me are great! that reminds me to pull them out and have a listen.:spin:

The thing I find with his stuff is you hear a bit of it somewhere, think, that's quite catchy, then you listen to it in full and realise its just got the one good bit which he nicked from someone else anyway. His frankenstien approach to making music, cobbling it together from bits of other people's stuff, I find lacks any emotional honesty.

Plus I hate big beat, goddam whacky comedy dance music.

Toss up between East 17 and Hank Williams. Voted for Hank Williams in the end, because I could at least blame my kids for any East 17 in the collection (which there is not I hasten to add).

I'll have you know that on the Hooky and Barney interview with Tony the Greek on "The Last Radio Programme" on Piccadilly Radio in 1986 (which featured a question from one Mark Rutter), Barney brought in several records to play, one of which was by Book of Love. That'll teach you !

I'd be ashamed of owning "Better Living..."

I'm NOT ashamed of admitting I own "You've come a long way, baby" and "Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars"

I actually quite like my Book of Love CD...but I can't tell any of you kids why it's quite so special...well, I could, but children might somehow sneak upon this forum...
