I am shortly aff tae Uncly John's with a few beers to watch Celtic hump Rangers in the League Cup Final (I hope) It should be a close game, Celtic will be a bit shattered from Thursday, but if the players cannae pick themselves up fer an Old Firm Final, then they shouldnae be playin.

I'm not gonna do a prediction, I just pray fer a win, and the first of hopefully 4 trophies this year....

COME ON THE CELTS!

Fuckin jammy masonic bastards.......as fuckin usual:nonono: Perfectly good goal given off fuckin side? no surprise there then! Not only did we outplay them for 90 minutes, but we gota penalty in the last minute.......why the fuck did Hartson take it? Larsson had scored a cracker and as Celtic's penalty taker....why did he step aside? a totally pissed off Celtic supporter is going to get fuckin wasted and say "ach well, it's only the league cup....we're gonna win the league anyway"

look at it this way: four four two magazine named celtic one of the top 20 club sides in the world--not rangers. feel any better? :D

Come on the 'Gers'....2-1...and Rangers retain the cup. Well done to one and all after last weeks bad result.

How much of a prick was Lennon ? Did he really think he was helping the team's cause by taking out two oppo players under the ref's nose with his forearm ?

Bit ironic really, Hartson winning 3 points for Celtic in the league but then screwing up for the cup

they said he had a suspected broken wrist but i didnt hear any more.

bit of a bugger for the liverpool game

fraid to say i reckon the scousers will overturn em - specially after seeing off Spurs yesterday.

I'm waiting for the conspiracy theories to start about Hartson deliberately missing the penalty because Celtic didn't want to play an extra half hour ahead of Thursday's big game, so they were prepared to sacrifice the league cup.

But seriously - I think all this pales into insignificance compared to Bo'ness United's 1-0 win away to Arthurlie in the quarter final of the Scottish, don't you?

  1. Neil Lennon. Never liked him. Lazy and fat with a short temper. Have my suspiscons that he may be on his way in a big summer clearout (along with Petta, Guppy and Jamie Smith I hope).

  2. Bo'ness United. Well done! I used to follow Pollok Juniors in their mid 80's "heyday", back to back cup wins against Petershill and the afformentioned Arthurlie. I remember a Pollok v Auchinlek quarter final when there were more people at Newlandsfield (5000 + I think) than at the majority of SPL games the same day!

C'mon the juniors!

If Celtic beat Liverpool on Thursday then Scotland gain enough credit points with UEFA for the the winners of the Scottish League to go straight into next year's Champions League and not have to go through the qualifying rounds.

Or at least I think that's what they said on Radio 5 this morning!

Sutton did break his wrist, just heard on the radio,

and yes for Hartson to actually miss the goal mouth was unforgivable especially at such a critical stage of the match! so mebbe the conspiracy theories have some substance after all...?

Anyone see Coronation Street last night?! Karen McDonald kept referring to the 'Fields of Athenry' as a Top Chooon!

Hmmm.

A sentimental balad, perhaps, but a Top Chooon?!!!! :eek3:

Must've been confusing it with 'Fields of Anfield Rd'. Now that is a top tune.

Richard Hillman, only. The rest of 'em were rescued.
