you have to load up your pic on a server somewhere, you can use the free ones on geocities or yahoo. then use the img code. See the neworderonline code link

You are actually doing right. I checked by clicking on your posts so you can see your methodology. Try sourcing your pictures from somewhere other than geocites I think it's a server or compatibility issue.

You got the answer Hanky, Geocities doesn't allow external links. I also discovered, in the worst way possible, that it just doesn't work.
Had the same problem myself Tabsy....I learned more about html by looking at the source code of threads than I did in my Intro to Multimedia course last year...Sad but true

i have no idea what the hell any of this means. free server? where? when? how? why?
i've wanted to post pictures for ages, as well, but the section in the 'NOOL codes' link makes about as much sense to me as trigonometry (see math thread).

First up, you need to upload your pictures to your webspace (most ISPs give some free webspace) - alternatively, e-mail 'em to me and I can host them for you.
Then, you need to enter the relevant HTML code/NOOL code (which is roughly the same thing) on here. To show this so that it can be viewed on here, this is
Open angle bracket < Then type IMG SRC Then type = Then type " Then type the URL of the image Then type " Close angle bracket >
Get an account at picturetrail.com its free and allows you to upload pictures to and link from their webspace :)

I'm fair impressed with myself 'cos I'm not normally very good with these things. Couldn't have figured it out without your help. Thanks ![]()
