Album sounds a bit boring to me..

I was wondering if they'd be more innovative on this one. Sounds like they're in a holding pattern. I think alot of critics were holding back their assesments of kid a/amnesiac until a followup came out. wonder what the concensus will be this time around...

It sounds like those critics are against Thom Yorke's trademark wail (see the "whine" comments). Radiohead's music is wonderful regardless of Thom's singing style (and for me, that's a plus). I love Radiohead more than any band in the world, so you can see, I'm a little biased.

Having heard it both live and on record, it's not the masterpiece I was anticipating, but it is very different and very Radiohead. I just hope that some of the other songs they have recorded eventually see the light of day as B-sides etc, as there are some cracking tracks not included on the album.

radiohead live is great. I was so disappointed with their live disc, though. I thought it was a travesty. First of all, it should have been a double album because there was so much good stuff on there and there were so many songs they had to re-interpret for the live setting. Secondly, what was up with the tracks they decided to put on there? I mean the morning bell only needs to be on one album, not three. But anyway.. I agree with their unreleased stuff. I think OK Computer is radiohead's peak, and the Airbag EP (i think it might be a US only album, but i think its all of the bsides from the OK Comp sessions) is probably my favorite disc of theirs in my collection..

I've seen Radiohead two times...the band don't fail. The problem is in the singer (not the vocals). Thom Yorke is a superstar, and he knows it. Can be an idol in Bilbao and a villain in Benicassim. No problem for him: people clap the same.
