Can anyone else hear that bloke with a mega-phone. Doesn't half sound like Mark E Smith. Is he Man U ? Could have sworn I just heard "I hear you telephone thing listening in-ah"

The away goal might prove vital, but to be honest I doubt if the single goal will be enough. Can't see Madrid not scoring at Old Trafford.

This was a bit of a dilemma (great cars, them dilemmas!) for me - as a committed Man U hater and big F.C. Barcelona fan, deciding who to back was a bit like choosing whether to be stoned to death or burnt at the stake.

Ended up backing Madrid with some reluctance.

FAO Rocket Mick: Down & out? A mountain (whole mountain RANGE probably) to climb but... 3-1 down at half time: not impossible.

Hopefully we'll see the "whole-world-against-us" United in two weeks going at Real from the first second to the last.

Keep the (true) faith!

Did anybody else see the advert on tv that immediately followed the football match? I was convinced within seconds I was watching The Greatest Advert Ever Made. It will surely be the water cooler talking point in all offices for days. It was for the Honda Accord and it made me pine for my old Mousetrap boardgame. You'll know what I mean when you see it.

I know the ad - it reminds me of the Carling/Heineken one a few years back with the squirell doing the assault course.

As for the game Zidane showed his true greatness whilst Ronaldo showed it's probably the end of his. I'm glad Beckham only seems able to perform for England now and Figo will probably go to Man Yoo in the summer with Becks going the other way - good business for both teams Real get a merchandising cash cow whilst Man Yoo get a player.

I thought Ferguson's "two soft goals" comment at half time was a hoot. When the third went in, I yelled "another soft goal!!!" and the pub erupted.

Great game...but it could have been better.

Figo-Raul-Zidane, Dream Attack. I agree.

I like Manchester, but in this game Beckham-V. Nistelroy-Giggs SHAME OF THE NATION.

See them in old Trafford. Round not closed.
