I just found Canada's top 100 songs of 2002, thought it might be interesting to share, so you can compare...!

Just a quick glance at the Canadian Top 25 (thanks for sparing us any more!) proves that, with a couple of exceptions, it's not just this side of the Atlantic that pure SHITE (sorry, can't think of a more delicate expression for it) is the order of the day when it comes to "music" sales.

I could investigate the corresponding chart for Ireland, but have a feeling I would be banned from ever posting on here again. Yes, I reckon it would be THAT bad. :nonono:

Agreed mate! I wince just thinking of it!!! This is the country that gave the world Ronan Keating after all. Ya heard In The Ghetto yet? "Good Jesus" is about all that comes to mind...

Here in Spain all the top 10 are spanish artists. And many of them are from a TV program...Fame Academy. :nonono:

In 2001 New Order were at no. 300, more or less.

In 2001 New Order were at no. 300, more or less. I doubt New Order is even on the list in the USA. In Philadelphia (where I was born and raised, unfortunately), you say New Order and 99% of all people will think you're talking about wrestling. :nonono: Not that watching Barney and Hooky wrestle wouldn't be that bad, although Hooky'd probably win by slugging Barney in the head with his bass.

Well, here I say "New Order", and they don't know who it is, so I say "yeah, you know at least 3 songs I'm sure".. then I'm stuck talking about 80's music because of that, knowing New Order is not to be labeled as an "80's band" at all!!
