I remember on here ages ago when everyone was on about retro trainers / jeans / trackies etc...
Can you's help me out, I'm gonna have to get some new gear for America, and I need some links to sites.....this computer is too slow for doing stuff like that, so any help would be greatly received. Basically looking for stuff like Retro Adidas, Diadora, Le Quoq Sportif, Nike, Fila........

i'm very fond of the old-school white Reebok sneakers with the HUGE tongues (like the ones Robert Smith wore). i have four pairs, and they're my trademark. they recently began manufacturing them again, so if you'd like i can try to find a link to them on footlocker.com

you'd be better getting european ranges and wearing them out in the states as american and european market totally different styles of trainers,
trainers are dead cheap as well out there! i know its hard to believe but you can get tn's for less than 100quid!! 
i got my black ones bought back by a mate from the world trade centre 2 weeks before they fell over.

Shug, you can buy an amazing amount of casual gear through ebay. Probably through the nose though, as a lot of this stuff is deleted.
Failing that, there's a massive Tacchini and Fila section in Selfridges. Amazes me: you can still pay 60 notes for a tracksuit top when some of us had to pay that TWENTY years ago! Kids today don't know they're born.

Cheers mate, funnily enough, John said the same thing, he's just had a few bargains with Retro Adidas tracky tops on E-bay. Hopefully I'll be down in London fer Donnies birthday on the 4th June, and do a wee bit of shopping.

Noo Yoik is a helluva lot cheaper for rather mundane items like Nike, Lacoste and Ralph Lauren (10 years too late), but have no idea about anything else. Like I said though, you can buy retro Tacchinis and Filas in this country for 60notes, which I consider a bargain considering their price twenty years back.
Then again, I guess they were actually the height of fashion then! ;)

I finally got masel a apir of those faded "Old" looking jeans, and a pair of Green and White Nike Cortez, to me it looked like a bad flick from the 70's
But apparently it looks quite trendy, I recalled you lot on about old trainers a while back, and trackies, so I have decided to treat masel to a couple of little things before I bugger aff to NY.
Haven't had time to search properly, I'll do it this Saturday probably, I'll bear in mind yer advice when I come down to London for Brasco's birthday.....we'll have to arrange a piss-up

aah, but you need to know where to look! you have to make your way to certain stores in the village (both first-sale and second-hand) and certain branches of the salvation army, et al. (hoping they haven't been picked through) where you can find some gems that look like they've barely been worn. i had quite a glorious retro wardrobe back at university which i purchased with almost no money at all.
'Hank' i'm wondering if you can help me, i've been after some 'Adidas' Trim-Trabb & Munchen' for ages but no go, i have tried 'Harputs etc...i know they are of West German origin, any idea's or help would be appreciated. Cheers.
