you didn't grow up in a small colorado mountain town, i take it. pass the third grade and you've got the sheriff's badge, if you want it badly enough.

the job in my town primarily involved shooing stray elk from the highway and responding to calls regarding mysterious mattresses and refrigerators lying in the middle of roads. seriously--i used to read the police blotter.
