Glasgow Celtic v FC Porto in the Final of the UEFA Cup:beer:

I am suffering like fuck, was partying till gone 5 this morning, and my heid feels like it's been battered about by Muhammad Ali for 15 rounds! A pretty fuckin atrocious game, both teams playing as badly as each other, but as my Liverpool supporting pals like to tell me, it's not about playing well, it's about winning:D

Roll on May the 21st, and lets gub the forces of ultimate darkness at Glasgow Zoo on Sunday.

Glasgow Celtic:clap:

Henrik Larsson is the King of Kings.

Didn't a certain someone once comment on these here pages that he'd sooner lose 5-3 playing the Celtic way than go to the likes of Moscow and grind out a result?

:clap: Congrats Shugz, horrible game(to watch), but a wonderful result. If only Ajax could have pulled a stunt like that last wednesday...:cry:

How was the score?

 I know, what was I thinking? I am now an honourable scouser (if there is such a thing;) ) They did fall over quite a bit that lot, time wasting, they should never had tried for a 0-0 draw. Cheers Mario, I was actually thinking about you when I watched the highlights of the Ajax game, they were brilliant, and unfortunate to score twice in Italy and still get KO'd! Eduardo, the score was 1-0 to the Celtic, boring game, but as usual, Henrik Larsson proved to be Celtic's saviour, dunno what we're gonna do when he leaves us at the end of next season!

When you get to the semis, the result's all that matters - I was at Old Trafford on Wednesday, one of the greatest games I've ever been at, but I'd have happily settled for a Boavista-style shite game and a 2-0 win! I reckon your Bhoys can do the Huns on Sunday as well - I've backed 'em to win 3-2 at 25-1.

Nice one Shug! Watched the match from my hotel room in Hamburg (on DSF with a German commentary). Still was a shite match but who cares.

Good on you Shug. All the best for the final. Can relate to the suffering bit. Felt rather delicate on Thursday after watching Utd/Madrid in my local, but chuffed with United's effort. That Ronaldo might make the grade, eh? ;)

Shug:

Got a very positive feeling about the Porto game. Had every faith in Celtic v Boavista despite the away goal, so you never know.

But: USUALLY when I get a good feeling about a game the opposite happens, so please don't blame me if things don't work out. People usually do for some reason. Was considering putting a few quid on the Hoops for the final, but that is a DEFINITE Kiss Of Death, so I won't.

Stupid Question Of The Year: You going?

Not only did are we in the UEFA Cup Final, but to beat the Forces of Ultimate Darkness at Glasgow Zoo yesterday just about topped it all aff:lol:

Still nursing a severe fookin hangover, started bevvying at 11.00 yesterday morning, and was still just about conscious at 11 last night, a cracking game it was, and I may have to watch it again tonight after work:nod:

Brendan, I just havnae got a hope in hell of getting over to Seville, I'm going to America for 2 weeks in July to see Celtic v Man Utd (with Donovan from this site) so every penny I have will be for that I'm afraid! Apparently the tickets are now being sold on E-bay from between £500 and £1000 already, Larsson 7from this site (my Uncle John) is taking his missus and 3 weans to Spain for the week, he's desperately trying to get a ticket.

I tell you Shug, I can't believe how well Chris Sutton played. While he was at Chelsea he a) was shit b) didn't create anything and c) couldn't score. Perhaps he was misunderstood.

Aye, Sutton has been Majestic for us, it helps when yer in a team full of quality Marko;)

Only kidding:D

But it's kinda true, playing alongside Larsson seems to have brought Sutton back to his best, and with the high balls that Valgaeren and Mjallby always pump up the pitch, Sutton (and indeed Hartson) are great target men to hold the ball up for our midfield and wingers:nod: The league is definitely not over, and I can only pray that Dundee can hold the horrible hordes to a draw on Sunday at Dens Park, and we should be level on points after beating Dunfermline on Sat'dy:beer:
