OK, I know there's some 242 fans here, so anyone else got this? Anyone willing to express an opinion? I thnk it's something of a return to form, me, and am looking forward to the LP when it appears.

i have not yet listened to it, but i've heard that it's absolutely mind-blowing from several people whose musical tastes i trust.
I saw the Front in early 90s in Forum at Camden, London & I loved them! my mate, who was more into them thought they were shite as he believed they mimed to all their tracks. Admitedly, there was only 3 of them on stage but Headhunter and all that blew me away.!!!!! I hear they have a new singer. Is he any good? ( Hes proobably been with them 10 years now.......I'm such an old fart!)
Headhunter is a top track and takes me back to the early nineties. I'll have to give their new stuff a listen.

I don't know. oh, the lineup didn't actually change at that point - they just recorded the albums without Richard 23, and used some other bloke on vocals for one of the tracks (or something like that). but the lineup is and always has been (and i'm sure always will be) Patrick Codenys, Daniel Bressanutti, Richard 23, and Jean-Luc de Meyer. :)
but yeah, that era of Front 242 is rpetty confusing (in a lot of ways). ![]()

you're welcome! :)
Just listened to the EP on a decent Hi-Fi (rather than crappy PC speakers) - utterly mindblowing. More in line with the good older stuff than when they went all weird on us. Have the new LP too, bought just now. A friend of my bro's was at the launch party in Brussels the other week. Said it was fantastic. And I can confirm the line up is still B, Codenys, De Meyer and 23.
Pulse and Still & Raw are classic 242, but is also progressive enough to promise much for the future. The production is stunning. Can anyone understand the lyrics to 'Strobe' though??? Welcome back to the best band of their kind!!!
The new singer confusion might have come from Kowalski 99 doing vocals on some tracks from Evil Off (Animal, etc), but that was back in 1993. De Meyer is still very much 242's lyricist/vocalist. I'd really recommend the 242 side projects C-Tec and Male Or Female (who sound like a cross between 242 and Future Sound Of London), who have both done some very good stuff.

Will be hunting for this one. They sorta lost me with fuckoff evil and the other one.
Saw em twice live. Good shows!
I'm sorry... Front 242 is still around? This is news to me. I'll have to check out this CD. Maybe I can convince my brother to buy it.
