Three favorite albums by bands other than JD/NO?

For me: Interpol - Turn on the bright lights Placebo - Sleeping with ghosts Coldplay

It's good to find new bands.

Wedding Present- George Best St. Etienne- Good Humour Pixies- Death to the Pixies (Compilation though)

I am very disappointing with Placebo, they are stuck in the same old rut where they started from. Couple good songs (more listenable than really good)per album and that's about it.

Echo & The Bunnymen- Ocean Rain The Sound- From the lion's mouth Sétima Legião- A um Deus desconhecido

The last one is from a portuguese band. Augusto will know what I'm talking about

his n hers by pulp (is in a different class) doolittle by the pixies had a massive impact a pagan place by the waterboys for those stirring moments reverance/ireverance by faithless for those driving moments the queen is dead for those indie moments whats goin on by marvin gaye for those intimate moments melody by royksopp for those chillin moments

Close call - Kylie Minogue's "Fever" nearly made it in there.

Ever changing, but as I feel today: Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible The bile and self-loathing on this is sometimes hard to listen to, but the power of the songs remains undiminished. Primal Scream - Evil heat Beatiful noise. REM - Automatic for the people I hadn't listened to it for a good year or two, then got it out again over the weekend - what an album.

a lot of people seem to dig The Cure's Disintegration...yay!

Within The Realm Of A Dying Sun is fabulous...Xavier is one of my favorite Dead Can Dance songs.

That's because it's obviously one of the greatest albums of all time. (And...while I'm on the subject, The Cure could beat up New Order any day of the week. )
