Come on Celtic, do SCOTLAND and IRELAND proud the morra night and put us back on the European stage where we belong. It's been a long time in coming, and I cannot put into words how fookin nervous AND excited I am. So come on St Martin, get the lads fired up and take us to Victory.......PLEASE, and if the big man up the stairs is listening 2-0 to Celtic and Larsson scoring first (and his 200th goal for the Tic;) )

I will be watching it with loads of family and friends, and no doubt several beers will be sank, cigars are at the ready. :beer:

just checked the news and seen all the celtic fans gathering in a scorching seville...about 90% without tickets..what a party tonight...most will have no hotel rooms or match ticket but will have the mother of all hangovers tomorrow.. the game itself will be a severe test for celtic tomorrow...projected temp for kick-off time is 100 degress..this will not assist celtic whos closing down game and high tempo football will have to be carefully planned.

Cheers Paul, the latest on Sky Sports news is that there's gonna be between 70,000 and 90,000 tims in Seville tomorrow, and not the 50 or 60,000 I previously stated.....silly of me! Jimbo - I helped my Uncly John to get a ticket, I can't afford it due to my trip to Yankland with Donnie for Celtic v Man U in Seattle......some times life is a bastard matey :cry:

how many fans have actually got tickets...not sure of capacity but the ground didnt look that big..

im sure most of the bars in seville will take about a years takings in a couple of nights..

good article in last weekends observer regarding the game...apparantly celtic fans have been goading rangers fans about them standing in chip shops whilst they will be wearing flip-flops...classic

Don't think it was on ESPN or Fox, so I had to make do with the live running commentary, checking in every few minutes (thankfully Wednesday is our slowest day of the week). Sounds like I missed a great match, and yes, the streaker made the local news here, though the pinhead announcers didn't even the teams or the scores. You bastards!!! :nonono:

What can I say?

I AM FUCKING GUTTED :cry: ......and severely hungover! I was an hour late for work, and to be truthful, I really have lost all bearings at the moment.

WELL DONE CELTIC I really haven't got the words to express how utterly proud I am of Martin and the bhoys, fucking magnificent effort. I really did not think Porto would display the same shocking antics as Boavista, every time there was a Celtic player within 2 yards, they dived to the floor and made themselves look ridiculous.....fuckin shame on them :mad: Celtic were poor in the first half, maybe showing signs of nerves. Henrik was just absolutely magnificent, he didn't put a foot wrong in the entire game, maybe now he'll be given the credit he deserves? Porto looked slick in the first half, Deco being a constant pain in the arse :nod: The passing and movement made Celtic look slow. The second half was a total changeover, Celtic showed heart (probably due to the fact that Martin O'Neil gave them a roasting at half-time) Larsson's first goal was a goal of class, rising high above the defender at the back post to nonchelently loop it over Baia and to score off the far post. Then our sieve got back to normal and gifted Porto their second goal :nonono: Mjallby was at sea for both goals! Credit to big Rab Douglas in goal, he was magic. Larsson's second (and coincidentally his 201st goal for Celtic) was a ROCKET header from a corner......the rest of the game saw Porto cheating and time wasting. After Balde's sending off we feared the worst, and thus Porto scoring with only 5 minutes remaining of Extra Time. As I've already said, I am hungover, but extremely proud of my beloved Glasgow Celtic.....cheers for the memories lads, and hopefully we'll do better in the Champions League next year :beer:

Shame Porto couldn't win more gracefully. Their keeper summed them up in the last few mins, rolling around & staying down for 3 mins after he'd barely been touched. Disgrace.

Champs League next year. That's the stage a club like Celtic should be on.This experience will make Celtic a better team in Europe next year.

As a Feyenoord supporter I was supporting Celtic obviously (the Wim Jansen, Larsson, Van Hooijdonk connection). It was a pity that Celtic couldnt play their game in the first half, they seemed very nervous. Overall Porto was the slightly better side IMO. I thought the referee was a joke though...he should have done much more about the diving. Especially that goalkeeper at the end with that ridicolous dive. He was 5 minutes on the ground and then he kicked the ball with that same leg! :nonono:

it was on Fox Sports International...and that channel is the only reason I shell out the extra 15 bucks a month for the digital cable...ever since the trip to London last year, and discovering how passionate people are about the beautiful game, I'm hooked...I get the English Premier League, Scottish Premier League, the Bundeleiga (sorry if I spelled that wrong)...along with Italy and Argentina...

I still haven't got a favorite team in the EPL...guess I could hop on the Man U band wagon...and the only reason I follow Celtic, well...that would be because of Brother Shug...

I won't moan about the officiating...that would just sound like sour grapes...but as I was outside having a smoke during the game...a couple of Mexicans walked past...and one of them gave me a shout out about the hoops...

Footie is indeed the world's game...now if our country would just get on board!!!

Don't know if you've gotten over Wed. night yet Shugz. But if you have, then best of luck mate, 'cos you'll have to start all over again shortly. People who aren't into the game have often told me that football fans are a bit mental. I could say they don't know what they're on about, but given the extremes of emotion it puts you through (a ball hitting a net, opposite ends of a field, the reactions that follow.....) they may have a point. Kinda staying on the same topic, there were a couple of great pieces in the English press yesterday about Celtic and Rangers joining the Premiership doon here. Although I have stated this will NEVER happen, it was great to read journalists down here trying to start the debate again. John Dillon in the Daily Express was brilliant, so much so I e-mailed the paper and told them it was the best thing I'd read in ages. It went along the lines of "Celtic took the biggest travelling support to a game anywhere in the world ever, on top of this their football top was released this week and immediately sold 45,000 when you put this into context with the possibility of the Old firm coming to England, and attracting at least another £25m a season, it shows you that the Arsenal's, Liverpool's and Chelsea's would be running scared, beacause once they have the money and can attract the players of the highest standard, they'd be a match for anyone. Celtic would easily be right up there with the Man Utd's and Real Madrid's of the world, with fans like they have....who could argue" Superb stuff, and only totally biased people based here in England would argue.
