Hmm.. NO in anime? I'd like to see that. But, I still do watch a lot of anime, especially Gravitation, which still has not come to the US yet, which might be a good thing, since dubbed anime - with the exception of the last Vampire Hunter D movie - is bad, bad, bad, bad... And Gravitation would sound horrible dubbed, since the bulk of the series is about a band, that kind of sounds like New Order, if they sung in Japanese.

Anyway Macross is the greatest anime ever made. I actually met the real Minmay in real life a couple years ago.:)

i guess i´m "Alonso" :lol: i love macross. but i like the story of robotech more. i know it´s sacrilege what they did, mixing those 3 series with a new story. but somehow i got more involved with robotech than with macross. if we talk only about design then all the credit is for japaneses since it was made there. robotech II is crappy designed. from all macross they say macross plus is the best of´em all. i still couldn´t watch it, just the original and macross II (which is not so great) and read the "manga" of macross7trash which is not so great either.

another anime i really like: evangelion. it´s hard to understand at first but when you get the whole idea it´s pretty interesting their idea of religion and evolution.

I have always been a fan of Ranma. We could have Hooky changing into a Panda Bear when deprived of his bass, Barney changing into Akane and Stephen and Gill changing into a lovely greyhaired couple driving around Wythenshawe driving their family Volvo Station Wagon.

i liked evangelion too, but i eventually lost interest. always meant to watch the "final final" episode. the whole 'deepness' to the story was intense and interesting, but i think they tried too hard to make it as over-wrought as possible. i just want to see giant robots fight. ;) i'm just kidding--i like deep storylines--but my interest eventually waned on the whole thing.

current fav has to be princess monoke and spirited away. amazing animation and really affecting storylines. great stuff! :)
