everytime i click on a link to download something my pc automatically launches RealDownload (wether its a mp3,adobe file, etc) and then gives me the error message

Access forbidden or authentication method not supported

Details HTTP/1.0 403 forbidden

For most things i get get round this by rightclicking and using Save TargetAs

but it is annoying and some stuff i cannot download at all.

Any ideas ???

This error message may happen when RealDownload fails. You can try to remove and reinstall it or simply disable its ability to download certain file types. In RealDownload select Tools -> Options, click on the File Types tab and select the extensions you don't want to be downloaded by the application (ie PDF).
