I know there's quite a few people on this board who are into Kraftwerk. The news is that on the 7th of July a single 'Tour de France 03' will be released to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the Tour de France. On 21st of July a new album will be released called...Tour de France 2003, with the new version of the song, the 1983 version and a few new songs. Apperantly they are also going to tour.

Yes, I heard about that! I'm kinda looking forward to it. I hope they come stateside when they tour, I saw them back in 97. I think it was 97. Anyway. That concert remains one of my all time favorite concerts I've ever been to!

I've been waiting since 1986 for a new Kraftwerk album (excluding "the mix" album). I've heard a rough version of a song called "tribal", sounded great, hope it's on the new album

That would work for me.

I read somewhere that Kraftwerk is down to two Kraftwerkers, and Barney's pal Karl Bartos isn't among them.

Am I the only one casting a slightly sceptical eye over this?

The album apparently has several versions of Tour de France - a remake of a classic yet very old track (which was already offically remixed four years ago), is called Tour de France and is padded out by a few 'new compositions', which may or may not include Expo 2000. I'd love to see them come out with something magical and unique but given their current line-up and how they seem to be slightly bereft of new ideas, I hope it's not a big let down.

I THINK Kraftwerk is down to the originals, Ralf & Florian...that's cool...

Ralf and Florian are simply two snobbish intelectuals... They definitely need the other two. Who's ever visited their www.kraftwerk.com? Aren't they assholes after that?

Did you get my being ironic? I LOVE THEM!!!!
