I'm sure Jeff The Chief will convince gonzo to join my team and break his sorry ass on Olympic Stadium's floor !!!

If only it would come to pass! Juando will (for now) be staying in his Texas condo by virtue of invoking his no-trade clause.

Juando is not very "hoppy and sided" about the trade.......

(Sorry, that was VERY inside Dallas sports radio talk.)

yes...let me get on the phone to Juando...hell...he has a better shot at the playoffs with Montreal than he does with our Rangers!!

How far behind are the Rangers again? At least they were in the race a bit longer this year.

22 games behind !!!!

The Rangers pitching must really be awkward with such a terrific offensive lineup !!!

Brush with Greatness - Juan Gonzales used to live in my apartment building in Cleveland. He had two awfully nice matching black Mercedes in the parking garage.

Hey, I don't have much.

the Rangers pitching staff (if it can be called such a thing) sucks!!!!!!

I could go out and do as well...and mind you, I've had my right shoulder reconstructed due to a work accident in 92...

if the Rangers could get a decent pitching staff, they would rule the world...but no pitcher in his right mind wants to come to Arlington...I'm telling you...that place they play at is cursed or something...here's a good one for you...do you kids remember one Dave Stewart...who everyone remembers as that guy who played for Oakland....had a look that would scare mafia hitmen...well...he started his career in Texas...and he was fooking AWFUL when he was here...

get's traded away...damn...he's the second coming of Cy Young...

I'll save Seb a bit of work and bring up this thread, with his impressive litany in one of his replies as to how things have gone horribly wrong for his team in the last decade. All of the players how used to play for the Expos..................now just a sad memory, unfortunately.:(

okay...Juan says he needs to think about this until Saturday...his family is here...and he wants to know if Montreal can give him a "long term contract"...

Juando...go to Montreal...they have a better chance of winning the World Series than you will ever see here...and yes, they do speak French, but I'm sure you can pick it up...

and see if they can ship us a pitcher...please?!?!?!

....and remember, Sammy "Corked Bat" Sosa also started his major leagur career at Texas. I think we got some sheet music and a bag of magic beans for him in the trade witht the Cubs...........

Wow, you got quite a good memory for bringing back this thread... a very interesting one, too!

A line-up with Jose Vidro-Juan Gonzalez-Vladimir Guerrero would scare lots of people.

It's similar the the 2 Jones + Sheffield in Atlanta I guess...

If only Vlad could be healthy...!! Otherwise that losing streak we had would have never happened...

I just used some of Ricardo's search forum tricks to find the appropriate thread, the only thing I was slightly disappointed in was the fact that I thought that this was the one with the dancing Seligs, which it isn't.

Naaan... that won't happen... the ex-owners will file an injunction before that, since their RICO based case is not settled yet.

By the way, JUAN GONE has decided to stay in Texas. FUCK HIM!

As for the dancing Seligs... here's a new version: the dance of MLB crooks: Bud Selig, Donald Fehr, Jeffrey Loria and David Samson!!!!!

And to think the Expos actually traded for Eric Gagné and the trade was rejected by the Dodger's owner at that time :D

Is Kevin Malone still working there?

yeah...but back in those days...Sammy weighed all of 110 pounds and didn't have much pop...we actually traded Sosa to the White Sox, who then traded him the Cubbies...
