went to see ian mcnabb in wolverhampton last night the people appearing at the venue on the current program of events include

elkie brooks wayne hussey the damned thin lizzy (note - not a tribute band!) blue oyster cult 10 years after roy wood tony hadley paul young china crisis twisted sister kiki dee roy harper whitesnake (without coverdale though) & steve harley & cockney rebel!

bit of a mixed bag & who new these guys were still touring?

yeah - played two sets, some good cover versions - heart of gold, lennons take on stand by me, first few bars of live & let die as a joke.

acoustic, electric & keyboard stuff - understanding jane, hollow horse, evangeline, liverpool girl (best opening couplet ever? she's a liverpool gorl, she likes her chips) etc

quite chatty, more up than last time i saw him

he's playing in nerja in spain in september if you're interested

only went to see mcnabb - never been to the venue before!

nerja is near malaga I believe. can dig out the date but it jus said more info to follow - may be worth checking the mcnabb web sites...

I did. The gig is on September the 13th and the venue is called "blanco Y negro" (hmmm... spot the JAMC reference there!)
