A Grauniad article about the return of Kraftwerk. Fairly pointless mind, a journalist sets out to find them in Dusseldorf. But doesn't.
Quite funny though, I forgot Kraftwerk were supposed to sound like Brummies to Germanic ears!

Is it true that Bartos and Flur were removed from any record sleeves? I've never heard of that before and the cd sleeves I've seen recently seemed to have their pictures on them...or picture of their dummies/robots.
Haven't checked out their official website for a while...they used to sell Kraftwerk skateboards and mousemats on there (maybe still do!)...and there were no clues as to how to navigate your way through it - I guess that's the cyberspace equivalent of Kling Klang not having a doorbell!

To be honest, I only became familiarized with words such as "Brummie", "Scouser" and "Geordie" after visiting this forum. I knew it would be useful for something. ;)

KRAFTWERK have announced the tracklisting for their new album 'TOUR DE FRANCE SOUNDTRACKS', due out on August 4.
The 12 songs on the record were written to compliment the French bike race, currently in full force and celebrating its centenary.
Alongside brand new recordings, the band reworked a version of the twenty year old 'Tour de France' which was released as a single earlier this month (July 7).
The ‘Tour de France Soundtracks’ tracklisting is:
'Prologue' 'Tour de France Etape 1' 'Tour de France Etape 2' 'Tour de France Etape 3' 'Chrono' 'Vitamin' 'Aero dynamik' 'Titanium' 'Elektro Kardiogramm' 'La Forme' 'Regeneration' 'Tour de France'

Yes, bought it last Saturday. It's quite a pleasant album after the first few times I listened to it. It's very...Kraftwerk. Not a masterpiece and not as innovative as they used to be, but a good album. Stand out track so far for me is Aero Dynamik.

Sadly, the best thing on it is the very last track! :(
These new Tour de France's do nothing for me. The album was on track five before I realised there was anything different playing. Quite liked Aero Dynamik though, but can't remember what else stood out?
And, is it me, or have they developed French accents nowadays?!
