I use to chat with chynna long ago. She told me she was doing a comic called Blue monday, and I could find it in an issue of Dark Horse Comics. But I never did find that issue.
Anyways, I dropped AOL as my ISP and never spoke to her since. I remember she was into Vespas and was a MOD or something like that
Blue monday is doing well, and she is now doing a new comic called "scooter girl." aparantly she lives in San Diego these days.
I never followed the comic, since I've never found the Issue of dark horse presents.
Good comic? worth reading? what is it about?
it is pretty cool. it is not your average comic since it is pretty much about anglophile highschool kids in the early 90's. While reading like a good John Hughes movie with a girl as the main character (Pretty in Pink / Sixteen Candles), it name-drops every band you could possibly like (and some you may not). Another cool thing about this comic is that it has featured a "soundtrack" in at least one issue. Chynna will list song titles underneath the frames on a page, queing you to dig that out of your collection and throw it on (or at least sing the chorus to yourself while you read). i'd give it a try.
