Cabaret Voltaire box set "Methodology 74/78 Attic Tapes" is out. Includes some of the earliest Cabs material.

Anyone recommend this? Have some of the material in other formats, but debating if the full box is worth it.

Can't quite recommend it yet, as I haven't seen it in any shops in Portland yet, but I'm quite sure I'll buy it fairly soon (i.e. a month or so). I could never find the Industrial cassettes, but I am looking to forward to hearing some of that early material.

Love the pic of Mal, Richard and Chris in the article; hadn't checked out the Voice page for over a week, so it was a very pleasant surprise.

I remember about 12 years ago they re-release almost everything they had. IMHO most of it is unlistenable. Don't get me wrong, I love CV, but noise for the sake of noise is not pleasurable to listen too. I was really disappointed that Arm of The Lord was not re-released on CD, or where I could find it.

Drinking Gasoline was a decent album, and Hypnotized was a great retro sounding single.

Other than that most of their stuff has been hit and miss bogies.
