I was Pissed on Friday night and bought tickets to the inspirals final concert at the apollo in december. Will i regret doing this?

I didn't know that they still exist.They were great 13 years ago. Charlatans,Ride,Soup Dragons,Stone Roses,Inspiral Carpets and Happy Mondays were great at their time.I still like them a lot.

Been listening to a compilation CD with Inspiral Carpets featured on it. Never really into them in their prime, but judging by what I've heard, you made a fairly good choice. OK, only 2 songs, but I was impressed.

Yes, go to the gig; and let us know what you thought.

I do not much care about the inspiral carpets but you can get their 3 CD compillation from the FNAC very reasonably priced, also "dragging me down" has got one of the best openings for a song ever.

They were actually ok up until the end of the 2nd album era, then lost the plot a bit with subsequent releases. Typical NME bullshit type thingy assiciated them again, Madchester my arse.

As long as they play "When World's Collide" it should be a good gig, but i'm surprised they're still around as well.

Saw them at Brixton earlier this yeat with Johnny Giles and Mickey Way, plus others. Hadn't bothered with them 'first time round' but was surprised to see that I knew just about every song (they did an entirely 'singles' set) and the audience were well up for it. Always good to judge a band by the intensity in the audience and you could almost feel the sweat dripping off the ceiling. Quite funny though, that all their fans moo'ed between tracks! Certainly worth a look, even if you're not a fan!
