Baseball Fever

montreal is a real surprise :) i hope they make it so they can tell MLB and baseball fans to shove it up their asses, they can do it on a small budget. however, im a cubs fan and altough they lost tonight, they have a serious chance of winning the division. prior, wood, zambrano. now thats freaking scary.

the last time I had baseball fever, someone had put anthrax in my jock strap.

Seriously, though, I think it'll be the Tigers and the Padres..........with the worst records this year

i'm with you on this one nic. the expos were doing so much better at the start of the year as i recall. first in their division for quite a while.

The Phillies will loose because the Phillies always loose, eventhough no one will admit it. But, then again, no one's gotten over the fact that the Phils lost the '93 World Series to the Blue Jays.

I thought it was interesting how the Braves reversed their traditional composition of a strong pitching staff but fair-to-middling offense. Now they're offense-heavy, but from what I've seen their pitching staff is lousy. The best thing they've got is Smoltz in the bull pen, and I think he just went on the disabled list.

Also, seems like the Cubs are living up to something I heard on the Rome show: Completely Useless By September

If the cubs had one good arm in their bullpen, they'd easily be leading in their division

Who wouldn't want to punch the philly phanatic? Eventhough I've never been to a baseball game for the phillies - or any Philly sports team for that matter - I always thought the phanatic was just an obnoxious mascot.

Who wouldn't want to punch the philly phanatic? Eventhough I've never been to a baseball game for the phillies - or any Philly sports team for that matter - I always thought the phanatic was just an obnoxious mascot. an obnoxious mascot for obnoxious sports fans ;)

He's from the 'burbs - Lower Merion, I think, which has far better neighborhoods and schools than in Philadelphia. Then again, the 76ers have Allen Iverson, who's from Virginia and lives in the 'burbs as well. And, now, Kobe plays for the Lakers. And, if you're a Lakers' fan, especially in the city, you're not going to last long, especially around a pack of Iverson fans.

In 2001, the 76ers only won one game against the Lakers. The Phillies lost to the Toronto Blue Jays in '93. And in 2000, the Flyers didn't make it to the Stanley Cup. Then again, if the Eagles actually made it to the playoffs, I'd be hearing their tuneless victory song, "Fly, Eagles, fly, on the road to victory" whenever I bothered to turn on the TV to any channel aside from UPN.

I'll be rooting for the eagles against the bucs, who I hate for beating the raiders, my second favorite team, in the super bowl
