"FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL WILL BE AIRED IN THE UK ON AUGUST 18TH" - in the news section. I do have a VCR that plays videos in just about any format - would anyone in the UK be up for taping this and sending it to me? I would be more than happy to pay $$$ for this. If I had rare JD/NO stuff to trade I would, but alas, I do not.

Nat, I'l tape it for you. Didn't even know this was going to be on. When and where is this to be shown, shouldn't be too difficult to track down as in the UK we only have 5 channels (apart from the satellite ones).

NICAM stereo UK PAL okay?

I'll have to blag one of my mates to tape it for me.

Where did you here of this?

I found this on the news page from here, neworderonline. I should have mentioned that I'm in the USA. What the heck is BBC choice? Is that a subscription channel?

Fuji Rock Festival (Music) Starting: 22:00 on Saturday 18th August. Duration: 3 hours Showing on BBC Choice.

Okay here we go ...

in England there is: BBC 1 BBC 2 ITV Channel 4 Channel 5

which is available through an aerial to everyone... then there's about 250 billion satellite channels through SKY (also accessible through NTL). So, BBC Choice is like a spin-off from the main BBC channels, that's probably why they're allowed to show the entire 3 hours of it!!! - no way this would have been broadcast on normal BBC.

Great stuff Nat my old 'mucker, I'll record that bastard!

I know your in the States, its plastered all over your ID box thing.

What's your address, if you don't find anyone closer to home to get it off satellite I'll post one via courier the next day (well, on a working week day anyway).

Don't want no money, it'll only be a couple of quid (that's about 5 bucks in your language).

Hello again Nat, I just had a look at your profile and clicked on a link to see if you were mad or some shit... nice surfboard, if you used that in Northern England i.e. where New Order were born, you'd get blown about 200 feet in the air and smashed into pieces (that is, if the rain didn't dissolve you in the meantime).

If anyone can encode those into MPEG or Real Media, or Windows Media.. it would be nice to put those online here.

(Not in mpeg because it's too large, but for my personal use mpeg would be better and I can convert them)

Problem with PAL, is that since I'm Canadian, I need to convert it, and there will be a loss of quality in the process.. that's why I prefer a digital version from the original source!

Nice to see the board so active!

I may have a resource to turn the video into .avi or .mpg - I know someone who runs a professional video outfit. I'll check on this over the next few days. I'm thinking that due to size, it would be chopped up into I don't know how many pieces. Will keep everyone updated.
