It's a 2 disc set called "A Journey That Leads To The Sun".

It's gonna cost me a whopping $75. I had a quick listen to a few of the tracks and they sounded pretty good, so i decided to get it. I only have one other Joy Division bootleg and i want more, but there are so many bootlegs out there and most of them are crap. Is this bootleg worth my money?

No JD bootleg is worth that much. I got a few discs full of JD bootlegs from someone for very cheap; all the concerts.

Unfortunately, apart from my girlfriend, none of my friends have ever heard of Joy Division, they just stare blankly at me when i mention their name. So the chances of me coming across cheap JD boots thru friends or friends of friends or otherwise are next to nothing. I noticed in the Weeding thread that the cd is there to download for free, but the're in flac format and i have no idea what they are. I have Nero 5 and it does'nt mention flacs. so i'm missing out big time i think.

There's plenty of people on this site or at Joy Division Central who can hook you up for much cheaper.

When in Melbourne last week I came across that one as well. That shop also had another boot. All up it would have come to $140. I decided to fork out only $10 and buy the BLT Quest cd single. I did also manage to pick up the JD Preston gig for reasoable money at another shop. So, not too bad.

Wasn't Second Spin in Balaclava was it?

I think it was in Second Spin, the one next to Gaslight Records I think in Collins St.

So tell us is it any good. Should I pick it up next time I'm in Melbourne, which should be before the end of the year.

  1. Nah, the Second Spin i go to is in St Kilda East (280 Carlisle St. Tel: 9534-5300 ). I've been told they have ordered a stack of JD/NO boots.
  2. Go for it, the soundcheck on the first CD is a bit boring, but the two gigs are brilliant. :thumb:
