Ebay - Someone like you CDR genuine?

On Ebay suddenly several copies of a SLY promo CDR surface. Tracklisting is somehow weird, can't find it on Niagara Discography

The current feeling amongst collectors is that it's very fishy. I wouldn't recommend buying it until someone can verify it.

I would say that these are not genuine. Thaere are various different sellers offering these and the True Faith "White Label" CD. None of the sellers accept Paypal. Also, if you check all of them out, you will see that they have bid on each others auctions to push up their feedback rating. As they only want untraceable payments like cash or Western Union, that should tell you to stay away. I did notice that all of them seem to be from eastern block countries, but pretend to be in the US or UK. I contacted ebay regarding this a few weeks ago and one of the sellers was banned.

Thanks for your impressions. I see it the same way and wouldn't recommend buying one from those sellers.

Nah, most def not the 6 track UK cdr as on wim,The 6 trk uk sly cdr pic & disc on wim belongs to me!this is most definately a legit copy as i got it from a friend from the promotions company. i havent seen the ones on ebay yet,but if it is one of those (german) radio 1 hannover promo copies then i think they may be dodgy. Just need someone from deutschland to verify if there is indeed a raadio 1 in hannover,nah just thought about it why would a german radio station have its own copies of new order promos? Basically there are half a dozen people on ebay selling these & 808 state acid mixes,krafty 7 trk and a few others. I was stung with a copy of krafty 7 trk purporting to be from rad 1 hannover,turns out the seller was registered in the us but the disc came from russia!boot capittal of europe! If you are an ebay regular then you will notice the same listings by different people,from different countries the type and description is exactly the same,think they are ALL russian boots! regards
