How much is a MINT original copy of the Joy Division Ideal For Living 7" worth? I see a lot for sale that go for 500 GBP that are kinda tatty but if it is like new what would it be worth? I am thinking of buying one and I know it is an original so I would love input on this matter. If anyone knows what the collectors mags say please post it here. Thanks!

The Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide 2006 has the following information (I'll type it all out).

Year Of Release 1978 Cat Number Enigma PSS 139 Tracks Warsaw/No Love Lost/Leaders Of Men/ Failures Details EP 1000 Only, Foldout P/S MINT VALUE £ 600

ALSO

Year Of Release 1978 Cat Number Anonymous ANON 1 Tracks Warsaw/No Love Lost/Leaders Of Men/ Failures Details 12" EP Re-Issue 1200 Only MINT VALUE £ 400

It also says BEWARE OF COUNTERFEITS

Hope this helps. Cheers Jon

Silly nubile type question; but are these exclusive tracks? or is it just the limited run that makes it so collectable/valuable.

All available on Substance and Heart And Soul.

It' s the limited nature of it and the fact that the sleeve was probably folded by Ian or Bernard that makes it a bit of an artifact. There is no real point playing it or anything.

Another thought if I may. Is there a re-issue? and if so how does one distinguish? thanks

Did you see that one of the 12"s went for £510 last week on ebay! That's the highest I've seen it go for.

Out of my League, so don't even look for them. Maybe if I'm in some dingy charity shop and happen across one.......ooh I must be dreaming:sleep:

And Widnes will win the Rugby League Cup aswell.....
