Since last years "Singles" release I'm listening to all my original New Order 7". It seems - as you all know - that there are still a few single edits missing on this compilation (Blue Monday, Confusion, Perfect Kiss, Bizarre Love Triangle, True Faith, Run2, Spooky, 1963, Let's Go (Nothing For me), Blue Monday `95...) :confused2:

Thanks to a lot of comprehensive discographies I've been able to track down most of the 7" edits, but I'm still looking for the following :deal: :

Perfect Kiss (US 4.10mins 7" edit) Bizarre Love Triangle (US 4.56mins 12" edit)

If anybody can help me with the above titles it would be great! :thumb:

musicoloog wrote: However it's not really an edit, I'm actually also looking for the alternative 12" exclusive remix of Touched by the hand of God, the bonus track on some cd copies of the 'Salvation' soundtrack CD (German/Japan)...

its just the normal dub version with an extra 1 and a half minute intro

musicoloog, I can sort you out with an MP3 of the exclusive TBTHOG mix from Japanese import of Salvation! It's 8 minutes long.

I'm also interested in that 2xCD "Edits" set you mentioned in Digital Republic but you don't seem to have made your e-mail address public. If you're interested in arranging a trade for said 2xCD set then send me an e-mail (button below my post), I'm sure there's a few interesting NO related mixes I can swap in return.

Cheers!

Hi Ally!

An e-mail is on its way...

If I remember correctly, this "edit" is just a fade-out version of the regular issue. Nothing special.

Ahh... I see, just like the 'original' 7" edit on the Japanese promo release, which has an abridged intro and a very early fade.

Thanks for the info, TLV! :thumb:

Nope. It's just as if you started playing the original version and then decided to start fading out the volume around 5 minutes into the song. Just like the GE 7" promos of Confusion.

If anybody can help me with the above titles it would be great! :thumb:

Of course I'm also looking for the promo edits of Brutal

  1. 3.20 Edit
  2. 3.50 Fade Out Edit
  3. 3.48 No Fade Edit

Has anybody a copy of the Filipino 7" of Regret, including a rare 4 minutes edit of the Fire Island Mix?

I have it, but I have no access to a turntable for a few weeks. If you can't find anyone else to help you out, let me know and I'll sort it out then.

Please let us know Neil. It'd be interesting to know if it's really a unique edit, a regular fade-out-the-regular-mix-after-4-minutes edit, or just a "typo" on the label.

Speaking about Filipino 7"... hereby a picture of the BLT release, including catalog number (FRS-89-5001) and correct time credits. This one contains the album version (4:21) and not the regular single 3:40 mix/edit as mentioned in the discography.

The catalognumber (FRS-89-5001) means Factory Records Single, released 1989, number 5001, probably the first in a series of Filipino re-releases. Someone at EMI Philippines explained once to me these Filipino re-issue catalognumbers...

And speaking about BLT, my US promo 7" (DJ 28421-7) has on both sides the same (Canadian ??) 3:36 edit.

Ahh.. I see! According to the neworderonline discography this version is the original and has been edited around 4:50...

Is it an edit of the full length 12" or an edit of the 7"... and where does the 7:26 time-credit come from?

Haven't listen to it. The New Order Discography lists the tracks as follows (taken from the labels on the vinyl)

LP: JP 1985 (Factory/Columbia TD-3072) [promo]
    4:50 The Perfect Kiss
    4:18 Love Vigilantes
    4:50 Temptation
    7:28 Blue Monday
    6:58 Your Silent Face
    6:00 Thieves Like Us
    7:20 Confusion
    3:14 Dreams Never End

Got the vinyl. Haven't ripped it nor listen to it. It could be a "typo" on the label (or a unique edit). I'm also out of turntable...
