with all due respec, and i aint saying that the item you listed aint legit, but i do have to say that there are a LOT of aledged no/jd white labels on Ebay these days, far too many to be honest. in facto theres a guy that constantly lists the true faith wlp even though there are only aledgedly 5-20 ever, even though he has sold 50+ in the last few years.

Also i dont think that warp was around in the early 80's,been going to sheff/devonshire/division street since i was a kid and cannae remember it in the early 80's,i could be wrong tho.

If it is legit then £30 max for a minty mint specimen.

Dont think its gonna make you loadsamoney cos it wont, depends on the dafty that buys it. Just thought i'd tell you like regards

Thats exactly why I didn't just list it without researching as much as possible both online and through some legwork.

I'd blinkin hate it if I bought this tune in good faith and it wasn't what it said it was.It has been properly examined by the people I mention in the ad. Have written confirmation.

That's the reason I wrote all that explanation in the listing - could have just blagged it but I didn't.

Appreciate the info tho and hopefully you have actually read how I got it.

The provenance all adds up. But there you go ... bid if you'd like it don't if your're a bit suss. But I'm not a liar.

Jill admittedly i read the ebay link and replied whilst pissed so apologies!

Just had a look at some of my white labels and i too have a copy of this, fook knows where i got it i cant remember!

Whe i first started collecting i used to put a piece of paper in with the place i got it from & price etc, this is sadly missing in my copy.

It has exactly the same run out etchings so i can only assume that yours is legit (the same as mine natch).

I dont know what your reserve is but i have seen copies of these go for well over £100,if it was one of the mayking test presses then you would be talking anything up to £300+.

I'd also go with your estimate of up to 30 wlp's when i interviewed hooky in manc recently i asked him about his fabled closet (he has more than 300 acetates testpresses/wlp's) and he did say that he just used to pick quite a few up when they were pressed.

Some of the later releases probably had more than 30.

best of luck with the auction and i hope this helps :thumb:

Thanks, you know, for even bothering to apologise -the old beer effect - have seen some messy 'day after's so no worries.

Bloody hell that was a bit of luck you having the same vinyl too :) make sure you get some kind of verification though because people can be extremely cynical ;)

You were right about Warp being late 80s, this was when it was a mere twinkle in Rob's eye lol but they were always involved with the Sheffield music thing right from when I first knew them.

I told you that I wasn't a liar, made me feel a bit upset oddly, think it was because I'd tried to be straight up and not over egg it's exclusivity, so you posting again is really appreciated.

Respect Jill x
