Factory Linen Cassete boxes

Does anyone fancy flogging their copy of the Wim Mertens linen box cassette edition (Fact 190c)?

If not then I might be tempted to sell the rest as I can't see I'm ever going to complete the collection!

I think that the Wim Mertens cassette is the rarest of the lot - it doesn't often appear for sale...?

They typically sell for over $300. Looks like there's yet another copy going under the hammer here.

The ebay seller above is The Record Peddler (used to be a shop in Manchester - I bought quite a bit of rare Factory stuff from there)! :)

Essentially they aren’t just cassettes they are rare bits of Saville/Factory art. The high price doesn't surprise me.

Sold for £360.55

It's interesting that these Wim Mertens cassettes are selling for so high, considering the condition of the two copies that were sold was not all that great. About 6 or 7 years ago, I purchased it for just under half of what these sold for. And the copy I purchased was in near mint condition.

Anyways, to add to the recent Factory boxed cassette auction activity, someone is now auctioning off a complete set of the boxed cassettes on eBay.

The full set of boxes didn’t sell at a Buy It Now of £699 and the seller now has his copy of Educes Me up for a Buy It Now of £400!

Doesn’t surprise me that the full set didn’t sell at that price. Most collectors still in the market will have incomplete sets and no interest in paying for the lot.
