I have acquired from my late Father-in-law a copy of an album that was recorded live on 15 August 1984 at the The Mayfair Suite Sunderland, and 'put out' on the Dali Records label.....the wording on the sleeve is in English, and whilst the bulk of the wording on the record itself is in English, two of the titles on the record are in German ! The actual recording is of a good quality, though the sleeve notes say that the 'recordings were intentionally done without the use of conventional display of 24 or 48 track mobile recording studios...the recordings are not polished or filled up [?].......any thoughts.....the disc is not in any listing that I have come across......

Dear Captain Slackbladder.....
Could well be interested in selling........it's not really my sort of music, though I can at least say that it's a good representation of its type........
Want to make an offer ?
David

LP still on sale, subject to a sensible offer...... though all offers from Captain Slackbladder are now no longer going to be entertained....

Hi David
Do you just want money not trade ?
Yes.........cash deal, as New Order are not my style......Since Father-in-law died, I have been intrigued as to what such a record was doing in his collection.....though it took me 3 / 4 years to stasrt my investigations.....Father-in-law's music was very much James Last, Mantovani, et al.........but I knew the New Order LP was something 'different' because I could not find it in any official discography.........
So over to you.......
Regards
David

Thanks for the explanation. How much are you asking for this ?
Not sure I know what to ask for.........as you will have seen from above 'correspondenc', I have turned down an offer of £15 plus postage from someone [who already had the bootleg in her collection, per her 'private' e.mail to me]......if she already had it, but was still prepared to offer that for it, what is worth to someone who doesn't have a copy !!
Back to you....

Sorry.........who he ?
Name doesn't mean anything to me......if you think it would be worthwhile 'speaking' to him, be glad to know of his cyber address......
David
You can pick this up at record fairs for £10, sorry to be a pain in the arse.
I haven't seen it for a while so maybe it's gone up to £15.
David Sultan is webmaster at http://www.worldinmotion.net
But it's just about guaranteed he already has this piece of memorabilia.

He didn't believe me Shug !!
Response to last message delayed, thanks to having to go on me hols.....tis a hard life at times, n'est-ce pas.....
If I were to put it up on e.bay, what I will eventually get through for it will be a lot less than I am sure someone out there is willing to offer for it......![]()
I doubt that very much. So, what do you think it is worth then ? The thing is, we actually know about these things on here, we collect the band's products and know what's what. Nobody is trying to rip you off, just to open your eyes as to what it is actually worth. I personally wouldn't give you a tenner for it, having recorded the gig myself and possessing a far superior recording to the vinyl.

Wrong, no-one is interested or you might have had other offers by now. I would keep it and treasure it as did your late father-in-law.If you are itchy to cash-in, you might get £20 plus on e-bay.
